I wasn't aware of technical writing until I started this class and I never really thought about how people wrote documents in a business setting. I work in a startup that hasn't grown enough for us to have a multitude of working documentation. Since taking this class, I can see that people who understand technical writing can make documentation that helps the company where they work. If you can manage to create detailed documentation, you can become a necessity for any company.

You can learn to make detailed documentation for any subject, work with company documents, make memos for any occasion, or even work with very technical documents within your company. There are many reasons for the worth of technical writing. It can take you from a lower level position into a higher position in the company. If you pay attention, you make your irreplaceable to the right company.

You can work out a resume that will make you stand out. The right people know what to look for in a good resume and will see that if you manage to use what you learn from technical writing.
